UK SOCCA AND CORONAVIRUS

From The Grass Roots To The World Cup

UK SOCCA AND CORONAVIRUS

UK Socca would like to inform all our members that our offices will be closed until further notice as we follow government guidelines to work from home where possible.

Service will not be affected in this period, and all emails will be dealt with and the website updated.

We are also aware that many 6 a side leagues that are affiliated to us have closed, but we have not issued a blanket ban for this to happen, preferring instead to take this on a league by league basis, depending on local decisions.

Your safety is of paramount importance in this period, as is that of all match and league officials.

So if your league is on,  please follow these simple steps:

Do not attend the league if you feel unwell, have coronavirus symptoms or have been tested positive for COVID-19.

Wash your hands before you attend the league, and on your return home and, if possible, at the venue itself.

Do not cough or sneeze over people at the league, and do not shake hands at the end of the match.

UK Socca was due to attend a conference at the end of the month at which the International Socca Federation (which we proudly affiliate to) was due to address its 87 members.  The decision was taken postpone that event  and we look forward to meeting up with colleagues and friends from around the world later in the year.

Socca is a sport which brings people from every continent together, and it will do so again once this unprecedented time is over and we return to normality.

We would like to wish all our members and their families good health and look forward to seeing you all back out involved in the sport you love later in 2020.

Our office is due to reopen on Monday 6th April, but that will depend on Government guidelines at the time.

In the meantime, stay safe, everyone.
